Seasonal Hiring

Macy’s Recruits Seasonal Staff Across Three Brands, With Oct. 22 Hiring Event

Store opportunities are part-time, while select supply-chain sites offer full- and part-time seasonal work. Macy’s says pay ranges appear in individual postings.

Macy’s Inc. is recruiting seasonal workers across Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Bluemercury stores and its distribution and fulfillment operations. In its September 24 hiring announcement, the company set October 22 as its next nationwide in-person hiring event. Applicants can also apply online now.

The work arrangement is a useful dividing line: store opportunities are part-time, while select supply-chain facilities offer both full- and part-time seasonal positions. Macy’s highlights Martinsburg, West Virginia, and North Jackson, Ohio, as supply-chain markets with greater opportunities. The announcement gives no 2026 headcount target; the recruiting round is not a tally of completed hires.

When to apply and where to find pay

Macy’s has another event scheduled for November 19 at stores across the three brands and select supply-chain locations. Event times vary by site. The company’s language about on-the-spot interviews and offers applies to its September 24 event, not the upcoming dates.

Macy’s says each job posting includes a pay range, but its announcement does not set one wage for the campaign. It describes employee discounts and benefits, with medical, dental and vision availability dependent on eligibility. These are seasonal positions; the company says some may lead to longer-term opportunities without promising permanent employment.

Macy’s applicants can use its online job portal before October 22. The company announcement also links to application sites for Bloomingdale’s and Bluemercury, where candidates can look for openings suited to their location.
